RakshaBandhan

Warm Rotaract Greetings Rakhi- not just a thread tying Brother and Sister together, but a thread ensuring the relation stays forever. Leprosy is a contagious disease and is transferred via airborne respiratory droplets(coughs or sneezes), mainly affecting the skin, eyes, nose and peripheral nerves. The person infected with Leprosy was boycotted from the society and was considered as untouchable. We, Rotaract club of Pune Mid-East along with our Parent Rotary, Rotary Club Of Pune Mid-East visited Dr. Bandorawalla Leprosy Hospital, Kondhwa & celebrated Rakshabandhan with them. We donated medical kits which are required on daily basis at the hospital. Also, we distributed Bundi Laddoos while we were spending some time with the patients. This was our genuine effort to eradicate the fear of touching them. As they are humans too and we all are equal. Also, we promised to keep the relation of rakhi forever as per the tradition.
